Lynchburg, VA October 8, 2010 -- AMTI is pleased to announce that the independent auditor Bureau Veritas confirmed its ISO 9001:2008 certification on October 7th after a three day, in-depth, on-site review. The ISO 9001 certification means that each step of the design and manufacturing process is tightly controlled and consistently applied. This designation is for three years and is valid through December 15, 2013.

Quality Manager Michael Clements remarked, “Our quality management system is driven by a continuous improvement process that focuses on the customer’s experience and industry expectations. It is widely acknowledged that proper quality management improves business, market share and sales growth. The 9001 designation distinguishes us from other electronic manufacturers, allowing AMTI to remain competitive and to help grow our business.”

CEO and President Larry Hatch commented, “This year’s certification included Microwave Circuits, a division of AMTI, whose product line was acquired almost a year ago. Their quality management system, calibration and business practices are the same as AMTI so the inclusion of their operation in the audit was a seamless process.  We credit the product quality of both AMTI and Microwave Circuits to the efforts of our employees who create an efficient and effective process through continuous improvements.”

AMTI has secured site membership in IPC – the association connecting electronics industries. IPC is a global trade association dedicated to the furthering competitive excellence and financial success of its 2,716 member companies that represent all facets of the electronics industry, including design, printed circuit board manufacturing and electronics assembly. Benefiting from IPC’s training and certification opportunities, AMTI recently renewed certifications for two internal IPC trainers. Certifications include 610E and 7711/7722 which are industry standards as well as customer requirements in the electronics assembly.
